The Petersgate Tap, or just the “Tap” to regulars, opened in September 2016 in the remains of an old betting shop.  It has now been transformed into an award-winning pub serving real ales, ciders and craft beers.

We have 6 hand pumps serving real ale, one of which is always Hawkshead Windermere Pale.  The other 5 pumps serve rotating guest beers from Manchester breweries and some farther afield!

We have 4 keg fonts, one of which is a dedicated font for Hawkshead Lager (We like Hawkshead). The other 3 rotate between a German lager, or the various breweries supplying exciting new beers via ‘key keg’.

As if that isn’t enough we serve a fine range of gins and wines, Belgian beers in the correct glasses and some craft cans and special bottled beers when they come available.

Our upstairs room is available for hire during the week, for free. On Fridays and Saturdays, there is a nominal charge to reserve the room as the room is generally used by customers at weekend.
