Stockport Old Town

Opened in 2011, Lord of the Pies has proved a huge hit with hungry pastry hunters and is a regular winner at the prestigious British Pie Awards each year.

Each pie has a tasty crunchy crown with soft casing, filled with menu mainstays including pork and cider or pulled chicken balti.

Seasonal specials like sweet potato and spinach and sweet offerings, such as spiced apple and toffee crumble, mix things up a little. As does the sheer joy of choosing your own flavours of accompanying mashed potato and gravy.

Lord of the Pies is the only place to stop for a first-rate pastry fix while exploring Stockport’s Old Town. To modest eaters and dieters, resistance is unacceptable – surrender to the pie!
