Seven Miles Out is a community arts centre and bottle bar, which runs a regular programme of specialist events and activity including popular music, comedy and film nights.
The arts centre is a multi-functional, flexible space which facilitates a number of mixed uses, including everything from music, art, film, comedy, spoken word and digital technology. The space is also a family-friendly space with a warm atmosphere, where everybody is welcome.
At each event we open our bottle bar, where you can sample a selection of Robinsons ales, as well as a wide range of fruit ciders and refreshing lagers.
One of the most popular events taking place in Seven Miles Out has been our monthly A Laugh in Stockport Comedy Night. These shows have regularly sold-out, with people coming to watch hilarious comedy acts fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Seven Miles Out is also an important venue for local community organisations who need an accessible and inclusive space for their activities.
Different community organisations who have been supported include Artism, who work with artists on the autistic spectrum, Disability Stockport, Feeding Stockport, Community Music, Ebony and Ivory Community Organisation, Stockport PLUS and the LGBT community who used Seven Miles Out for their activities during the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, and Stockport’s first ever Pride Festival.
